In 2009 X-Collective take on the world of the traveling circus in a brand-new show that juggles their music prowess with death defying circus acts and the strange world
of the sideshow freak. 

Join X-Collective as they celebrate their 10th anniversary touring with the
QLD Orchestra and the QLD Arts Council in a new show that will merge the virtuosity of classical musicians with the fun and frivolity of the cabaret stage.

Features classical repertoire including Sabre Dance, March of
the Comedians, Bachanale and Nessun Dorma.  Plus popular favourites including Johnny One Note, Skylark, Climb Every Mountain, Somewhere, This Is The Moment and I Will Survive.  And for the first time ever: Rod Stewart played on the bagpipes!

Touring ten venues in regional Queensland from the 1st to the 13th of June.

Pick a BoxPick a Box is a hilarious look at the
world of the TV   Game Show in all its glitz and glamour; excitement and scandal.  This is your chance to see if you can stump this talented troupe of musicians as they leave segments
of their show to lady luck. 

You will be asked to spin a wheel,
pick a box and decide on the spot what music X-Collective will perform.  With choices from Vivaldi to Saint-Saens;
Jazz to Funk; Classic to Country and
all styles in between, X-Collective will thrill you with their versatility, virtuosity and humour.

An exciting new Cabaret Show, combining the stunning virtuosity

of X-Collective, the operatic powere of Sirens of Song and the incredible talents of Leisa Barry-Smith in an hilarious journey as theyt attempt to create a new version of "Cinderella - A Woman for the 21st Century".

Dags and Divas showcases 18 of Australia's elite classical musicians and opera stars, as they effortlessly cross-over into the world of cool jazz, Broadway musicals, techno and camp comedy, plus music from Prokofiev's immortal ballet Cinderella.

With gowns by award winning desighner Richard de Chazal and spectacular costumes desighned by Leivi Jones, Dags and Divas is a fun-filled night of sequins and surprises; light and laughter; tears and tantrums.  Not to be missed!

A mini-musical for Tiny-Tots

Daisy May is an Impossibly Cool Cat that can sing jazz, dance and play tunes on her whiskers. 

Her best friend is Freddy the Flea who lives behind her ear and plays the trumpet.  One day Daisy May decides to try her paws at some other jobs. She attempts to be a jockey, a chef and a ballet dancer all with varying success but finally discovers that being herself is the thing she is best at.

The Kookaplatwombaroo 

A Mini-Musical for Tiny-Tots

David KiddThe Kookaplatawombaroo is a unique character that shares the attributes of several Australian animals.  While wandering the park looking for his Special Hanky (which he has misplaced) he hears some musicians performing and decides to join in.  He tries to play various instruments but his duck-bill, tail, wings and flippers get in the way.  When asked to sing “Mr Ding-Dong and his magic nose” he admits that he can’t sing with his big-loud-singing-voice without his special hanky. Eventually he is given a singing lesson and realizes he just needed to believe in himself.
